December 2020 Emerging States Report: Election Results and Opportunities

On November 3, 2020, Arizona, Mississippi, Montana, New Jersey, and South Dakota passed measures to legalize cannabis. Every cannabis ballot measure passed in the 2020 election, further affirming that cannabis legalization is an increasingly prevalent issue among U.S. voters.
Each ballot initiative’s successes not only lends itself to exciting history but it paves the way for some substantial possibilities and poses some significant challenges. This report concerns each of these wins’ impact on their respective state and the opportunities that we expect to arise in 2021 for savvy cannabis businesses and eager entrepreneurs.
