Senate bill 1030 for the legalization of CBD oil passed as a legislative bill in 2014. Amendment 2 for the legalization of a more encompassing medical marijuana program passed as a ballot initiative in 2016. Patients are required to register with the state.

Hemp Status

Florida’s hemp pilot program passed into law in 2017. Limited to state-based growers partnered with colleges of agriculture.

Hemp was then federally legalized in the 2018 Farm Bill, signed December 20, 2018.
