Overview of Medical Cannabis in Ohio

House Bill 523 was passed as a legislative bill in 2016. Patient is required to be registered with the state by their doctor. Patients from other states may be allowed if the state they are registered in have similar requirements and they have entered into an agreement with Ohio to purchase and use medical cannabis in the state.

Possession Limit

Three month supply of: 8 oz of Tier I, 5.3 oz of Tier II flower, 25.66 grams of THC in topicals such as lotion of patches, 9.9 grams THC in edibles like tinctures or capsules, 53.1 grams THC in oil for vaporization. Patients whose doctors have determined that they are terminal are allowed to have slightly higher limits.
