Jim Marty, CPA, CVA, CEO and Founder of Bridge West, was recently quoted in the article, “The Effects of COVID-19 on Cannabis Legalization and Legislation” by Rai Cornell of Higher Yields Cannabis Consulting. Jim was by joined by Stephanie Till, a Cannabis Historian and the Founder/CEO of Green Rush Indexed Data, and Nancy Damato, Bridge West’s Marketing Guru, to discuss the effects of COVID-19 on cannabis legalization and legislation.

The Coronavirus pandemic has triggered an economic incentive for states suffering from budget shortfalls. However, for states like New York that experienced extremely high numbers of COVID-19 cases, a robust financial incentive was not enough to take their focus away from COVID-19-related priorities. “The Effects of COVID-19 on Cannabis Legalization and Legislation” also covers how the pandemic has increased safe delivery measures for cannabis transportation services, the potential perils of federal legalization, the STATES Act, and incentives for states to implement more significant social equity programs.
